Personality: Nathaniel is the sortoff person who likes adventure. he will go out of her way to find some. but around new people he is scared to interact with them in case he gets to attached. He is usually worried since anyone he has got close he has hurt when he has got angry. it usually takes a fair bit to make him angry. thats not because he has a good temper its cause he usually bottles it up inside. which usually means whenshe does get angry its explosive.
he is fiercely loyal if you can break through her tough exterior. he will also help all those he needs help. through her suffering he has had in his life he has gained some humility and compassion towards people. but some of the things he has seen has also put an edge to him.

History: He has born to Hannah & Samuel Butler on the Acoma Indian reservation. He lead a peaceful life there mixing with the other kids. Listening to the legends from the elders. Until his 16th birthday when he found out the legends were true he and some of his mates were out hunting deer for his birthday dinner that night. When they came upon a dead person that night he had a terrible fever the elders tried everything they could think of to try and break it but too no avail they all thought he would die 3 days later the fever broke as quickly as it came they were baffled for about 5 hours till he woke up and had a splitting head ache from all the noise around him and wanted heaps of food but it wasn't enough so he went out hunting with friends for deer or something but when they had shot down one he convulsed and instantly changed into a huge cougar his friends went screaming off to tell the elders while he sat down and ate the Elk right then and there. when his friends came back with the elders they found him still there and in his cougar form sitting near another elk body which was half eaten when they came up he started growling at them then phased back into his human form without his top on this time and his pants shredded slightly and said hey there guys its still me but it seems the old legends are true. after that he rapidly aged as most of them do till he looked like his cousins who were like 10 years older than him. after that he usually patrolled the woods for any intruders he has realised why he got chosen his great great great great grandfather was what people called a spirit warrior who had a pet cougar one day when has hunting with his friend. He saw a pale young women biting down on one of his tribesmen's neck he rushed over there. Then tried to pull her off to no avail but she did realise someone was touching her so she picked him up and nearly tossed him but his faithful companion somehow bite right through her shoulder then pulled off her arm. which was holding the young man she then grabbed the cat with the other arm and hurled him into one of the rocks near them he heard something crack at that moment he remembered about being able to go to the spirit world so he did and just as his friend was about too pass away he fused himself with her her body swelled to huge size and tackled the leech down and tore her limb from stone like limb. Nathaniel knew what had caused his transformation the leeches who sometimes came this way normally they wouldn't cause a disturbance in the spirit world but this one had she had stayed her and hunted. he made it his job to make sure it didn't happen again. about 2 years passed and he got angry at his mum and dad for grounding him he let his anger get the best of him and he transformed right then and there and ripped the house apart along with his parents. that was about 13 years ago since then he has travelled around not calling anywhere home lately he has found out there might be people sort of like him in forks so he has been steadily travelling there
