Love's the only house...
...Big enough for all the pain in the world
Holly lay on the couch staring up at the high ceiling in the living room. The fan was on and spinning around softly. Even from down on the couch Holly could hear the fan blades cutting through the air. Closing her eyes with a sigh Holly thought about the past few days. Things had been going great; she had the family she had always wanted. She and Zain had found Ashley a few years back and at the same adopted two other young girls. Logan was no longer a young girl but she still looked after her sisters and plated with them when Holly and Zain couldn’t. Amera was so sweet and she and Zain were still discussing changing her. They wanted some proof that changing her would help her. The two didn’t want to put the unnecessary burden on such a young girl. Things were just about perfect in the house. But not quite, there was everything with Amera and Zain was still searching for his brother. To add on to all of that, in the past week Holly had begun to feel off. It wasn’t a bad off though, things were just different. She was hungry nearly all the time, sleepy and nauseous all at the same time. She had a feeling of what was going on but she hadn’t mentioned anything to anyone yet, especially Zain; she didn’t want to disappoint him.
Which lead her to where she was now, lying on the couch watching the fan spin ‘round. Holly was waiting on a phone call, she’d gone to a friend to help her figure out if her thoughts and feelings were true. Holly was really hoping that she would be the one to answer that phone call and not Zain. Thinking of Zain she wondered where he was. Ashley and Amera were at school and Logan was either at work or with Kenny. Either way, Holly knew that Logan would be picking up the other girls after school. That left the house alone to Zain and her for a few hours. Holly usually cleaned while Zain took care of motel business. But today Zain wasn’t home at the time and Holly just didn’t have it in her to clean at the moment. She was too anxious. She wanted her answer.

The business was high all day having Zain run in every which direction getting things done and organized. He loved his job. It came in second after the family and pard. He just recently hired more workers so he could spend more time with the family. He got time with them, of course, although not as much as he would like. The only thing that bothered him was the workers usually slacked off when he wasn't around. Always has been a pain finding good, faithful workers.
He left at the usual time to go home. After a certain time he only come in if needed that way he could spend time with Holly alone for a while. Although Logan has graduated she would be off at work or with Kenny. The other two girls had school.
Zain made his way to the forest to run home in his leopard form. He undressed himself so he wouldn't shred his clothes then shifted. He bones cracked, bended, and shaped themselves into a large snow leopard feline. There wasn't pain anymore for shifting, in fact, he's become so used to it that it wasn't bothersome at all. His long tail swished grabbing his clothes with his mouth then he took off running. He used his sense of smell to track down something tasteful but he couldn't smell anything appealing. It wasn't often he would hunt for just shifting to run home but he was hungry...
Deciding he should go ahead and go home to his wife, he gave up food and kept running. Five minutes later he found his house. He stayed unseen while he shifted back in case one of the girls were home. It wasn't polite to just walk around nude infront of everyone when he could clearly dress himself hidden.
He dressed himself quickly then headed straight into the house to see Holly laying on the couch. She looked as if she weren't feeling well. "How ya feeling?" He asked her sitting on the edge of the couch. His lips found her cheek then placed another soft kiss on her lips. "You okay?"

The open window blew in a familiar scent that brought a smile to Holly’s lips. Zain. The love of her life, her husband, father to her children and the only man she would ever lie with. She shifted her gaze from the fan on the ceiling to him as he walked in. His voice was soft as he spoke to her and the care and concern in it only made her smile widen. She hated herself for having forgotten him for so long. But that was in the past, and things were looking up now. “I’m doing fine.” She responded softly, closing her eyes for a moment as he kissed her cheek and then her lips. She met his lips with a soft kiss of her own and nodded in response to his question.
Just then the phone rang. Certain that it was the call she had been waiting for, Holly say up an snatched the phone from the coffee table, standing as she answered it. “Hello this is Holly.” She listened to the person on the other end for a moment before walking away from Zain. She wanted to make sure whatever the news was, he didn’t overhear it from the phone. Glancing back at him as she moved out of the room she shot him a smile. “I’ll be right back love.” With that said, she stepped outside and resumed talking to the person on the other end of the phone with her back to the glass doors that led inside.
“You’re sure?” She asked carefully to the person on the other end. Their response made her smile and nod. “Thank you, Thanks a lot Sarah. I gotta go now though. I’ll call you back later tonight.” Grinning she pulled the phone from her ear and clicked it off. Standing at the railing of the patio, she looked out on the backyard with a grin on her face. She had been right, she was pregnant, even better was that her friend Sarah had told her she was sure it was twins. Breathing out a sigh of happiness, she centered herself and dimmed the smile on her face before turning to go back inside.
Smiling at Zain she moved over the coffee table and sat on the edge of it, looking at him. “There’s something I need to tell you…” She started, pausing to see how he would react.
