Ginny loved the library. It was one of her favorite places Ports. She loved the quiet, something that was hard to come by within the bustling town. She loved the historical quality the library held in all its pages. But what she loved most was her place: a small hideaway in a shadowed corner of the library, near the fiction section, its walls stacks of old and forgotten books reaching almost seven feet tall. She'd discovered it a few months ago, and found it was the best place to escape from her busy peers. Not even the librarian bothered to wander back to Ginny's place anymore, all the books there were no longer needed by anyone, not even the librarian.
Ginny began to bring provisions to the small nest of books; pillows, candles, even a desk and chair, anything she thought would make it a more homely place to study. She found herself spending most of her free time in her corner, and though it was big enough for at least three, she was always there alone; just how she liked it.
She had decided to skip lunch and beat the rush of people and the slowness of traffic. She'd get a good selection of books to choose from if the library were deserted, leaving her extra time to read without voices.
She gave the librarian a small smile before grabbing a few choice books off the nearest shelf and heading to that familiar corner in the back of the library. On her way, Ginny thought that she had heard someone else enter the doors only minutes after her and have a small conversation with the librarian, but she shrugged it off.
After dropping off her things, she realized she'd forgotten a crucial addition to her stack of books: The Encylopedia of Antidotes by Delio Pointvale. She headed into the depths of the vast library, knowing by heart exactly where the potions section was. She spotted the encyclopedia shelves above her head and sighed. She stood on the tips of her toes, craning her neck and stretching her arm as far as it would go. Yet the novel was still only at the tips of her fingers. Taking a deep breath, Ginny attempted to reach for the book again.

The library wasn’t my thing, but some how, for some reason, I found myself here while visiting Seattle. I hadn’t been in Seattle since my family moved. I don’t know why I returned, so don’t ask. Maybe a part of me was hoping I would easily find my mother here. She was a librarian, and loved books, or at least from what little I could remember of her, she had left us so long ago, and I was so young, the little memory of her I had was not all that clear. Of course she wasn’t here, though I continued to wonder aimlessly around. It was so quiet, no where else could you find, a busy place, so quiet. Well, I guess it wasn’t really that busy in here, but still, you get my point. It had a peaceful feel to it in here, everyone I past gave a polite smile and nothing more.
I pulled a couple books off the shelf I was walking past, just to make it look as if I had a reason for being here. I read the back of them, neither one interested me, so once again I continued on. I turned down the next row of books, my green eyes took in the girl trying to reach a book just barely out of her grasp. A small smile turned the corners of my mouth upwards as I made my way down the row as she tried once again. I figured I wasn’t much taller then her, but might be just tall enough to help her out, I hope she wouldn’t take offence to my offer. I found some people, disliked others offering to help them when they were having troubles with something. ”Can I offer a hand?” I asked with a friendly smile, my voice was light and cheerful. I gave a quick look up to the book she was trying for then back to her as I waited for an answer..

Ginny never stopped reaching for that book. She had been so caught up in trying to reach it she didn't even notice a girl had come into the library. Usually, she was decent at keeping a notice on the scents around her in case of danger... Especially after her father had been attacked. This time she didn't feel the need too. It was just a library after all. The only danger in library's would be paper-cuts.
She had been here so many times she knew where just about every book was placed including the misplaced ones. The thought of herself being a dork always come into her mind but with so much time on her hands reading seemed to pass it. ”Can I offer a hand?”
Her bright blue eye looked over as she placed a smile on her face. "Please," She answered in the soft voice she always did. Usually when she couldn't reach a book she was so desperately trying to get she would ask the librarian for help. The librarian didn't need to help her this time it seemed. The girl, who seemed to be as old as she, was well over a few inches taller than herself.
"I'm Ginny." She told her lowering her arm back down to her side. A smile appeared on her face to be friendly. It wasn't everyday Ginny would talk to a human but she honestly didn't see the harm in it. The brunette may only want to help her with the book though so it's possible they wouldn't carry a conversation, but she wouldn't to t least try. "And your name?"

Neela was relived the girl didn’t take any offence to her offer, and her smile brighten even more. As the girl spoke her name Neela looked back up at the book. ”Hi” She said with that same light and cheerful tone. I reached up and grabbed the book with ease handing it over to her. ”I’m Neela” I replied kindly. She had noticed as I was grabbing the book, it was an Encyclopedia of Antidotes. ”What kind of antidote are you looking for?” I asked with the hope I wasn’t being nosey.
She wasn’t totally sure why she was so concerned about offending this girl who said her name was Ginny, but that worry crossed her mind a lot. This meet was bitter sweet for Neela. She was happy she was meeting someone new, but by her guess, Ginny lived here in Seattle, while Neela lived in Forks. It wasn’t easy to strike up a good friendship when you lived over three hours from each other, not like a quick drive across town to go hang out.
Normally Neela had an easy time striking up a conversation with anyone she met, but normally Neela picked topics by where she met the person and then the conversation seemed to fly off into sometimes hours. But where they were, was quiet new to Neela, so this would be interesting to see how this conversation paned out.

Ginny flipped a page as she listened to her talk. Her eyes quickly scanned over the first page figuring out if she really wanted to add this to her collection or not. First thing mentioned was a man named Arnold Urhger who had a simple recipie for small cuts to prevent infection. It seemed rather simple to do consdering she could easily find the supplies she needed in the house. She always tried her best to not be clumsy there though. With so many vampires in the house it's never a good idea to get cut or hurt around them.
These thoughts reminded her of the few, or many depending on how it's looked at, times she had to teleport herself out of the house for hurting herself. It wasn't that she didn't trust them. She just doesn't want them to be bothered and urged because she knew what it felt like to want and crave human blood. She did live off it for more than twenty years after all.
”What kind of antidote are you looking for?"
"Nice to meet you, Neela. I'm looking for anything that may be of use to me in the future. Nothing specific at the moment though. I can be a very clumsy person." She nodded lightly shutting the book and holding it up in her arm as her other arm fell to her side. Her eyes landed on another book.
"Ah." She said, smiling. "The Odyssey. I've read it so many times I can almost recite it." A grin appeared on her face for a moment but dropped when she thought of the movie. "Movie didn't do it justice." She added. They movie wasn't at all bad, for the most part, she just preferred books over movies. "I can't really watch movies based off books. They leave out to much." With a shrug she looked away from him a moment then looked back. "Sorry....rambling... Have you ever read The Odyssey before?" She asked trying to give Neela a chance to speak.

Neela listened to the girl as she talked on answering her question. She nodded agreeing, it was always good to know this type of stuff if you were always getting your self hurt. Neela, was pretty good at keeping herself safe so this idea never crossed her mind but then again, reading never crossed her mind much either. She looked over at the book as Ginny mentioned it. Her eyes landed back on Ginny as she started on about the movie not doing the book any justice. Movies seemed to never do a good book justice, but Neela didn’t read many books, so she never noticed until she read the book, or someone told her about it.
Though Neela never got upset over something like that, their was nothing she could do about it, and being upset over it like so many people she knew, wasn’t going to help. ”No I haven’t, I don’t think I have ever seen the movie, either.” She replied. ” What is it about?” Neela continued the conversation, she didn’t have much to add so figured she would learn something today. She might not of had any interest in this topic before, but she also didn’t know much about it, and what you don’t know doesn’t interest you, or at least this was how it worked for Neela. But maybe today would be a turning point in getting Neela interested in reading.
